For Felipe Vicini, the asset management firm he represents is the ideal partner for investing in the country, known for managing local companies to serve as recipients of foreign investments, hence turning the Dominican Republic into a bridge country for regional investments.

During his presentation, the VICINI executive presented several examples of investments already made in the country, managed by the firm, throughout different sectors of the economy.

One of these examples is the Italian company Colacem that set up the modern Domicem cement plant in the Dominican Republic. Also, the partnership with Pinewood Indomina from the United Kingdom, to develop the most modern film and television studios in the region, Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios.

Another partnership that relied on VICINI’s advisory services was Gerdau from Brazil, for the joint venture between INCA and Metaldom, hence founding Gerdau Metaldom, as a leading steel producer in Central America and the Caribbean.

Another example pointed out was “the investment made by Grupo Sura from Colombia, to purchase ProSeguros, in light of the advice provided by VICINI regarding this asset after the spin-off from Grupo Progreso. Another successful transaction was the purchase made by Grupo Nutresa also from Colombia, to take over Helados Bon”

The firm’s main executive explained the business model through which VICINI operates when advising investors interested in the best practices and investment formulas in the Dominican Republic.
