Santo Domingo.- VICINI’s Managing Partner, Felipe Vicini, assured that said asset management firm is an ideal investment partner in the Dominican Republic, thanks to the experience and trajectory held in the country, their human capital and talent, which has allowed them to make important and successful transactions in recent years.

Vicini made his statement during his participation in the inaugural session of the First Investment Forum organized by the CEI-RD, where he assured that the Dominican Republic makes for one very interesting investment destination, with attractive returns adjusted to risk.

The VICINI executive presented several successful examples of recent foreign transactions made in the Dominican Republic, managed by his firm, within different economic sectors.

One of them being the partnership with the Italian company Colacem, to set up the modern Domicem cement plant in the Dominican Republic. Also, the partnership with Pinewood Group from the United Kingdom, to develop the most modern film and television studios in the region, the Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios.

Also, the partnership with Gerdau from Brazil, to establish a joint venture between Inca and Metaldom, hence creating Gerdau Metaldom as a leading steel producer in Central America and the Caribbean.

He highlighted the investment made by the Colombian consortium, Grupo Sura, to purchase ProSeguros, “thanks to a proper asset management conducted by VICINI after the successful spin-off from Grupo Progreso.”
